Article: JOHANNA ROOS X MWH

JOHANNA ROOS X MWH

JOHANNA ROOS X MWH

Let us introduce our first pattern that we have designed in collaboration with Johanna Roos, www.johannaroosdesign.se.

She is a creative entrepreneur based in Norrköping, and works as graphic designer, art director, pattern designer, and illustrator with a focus on patterns.

We contacted her when we were designing Jessica's dress and the result is a graphic and stylish signature pattern with the words Move Work Harmony (MWH). It turned out beautifully, didn't it?

With over 15 years of experience in the industry, she has a solid knowledge, both as an employee and now as a self-employed person for 5 years. Her clients consist of large, well-known brands but also smaller start-up companies, such as us, MWH of Sweden.

Johanna works with a wide range of styles and expressions. She is best known for her handmade patterns created from scratch in watercolor, ink, acrylic or plant dyeing, but also stylish pure graphic expressions. Creating clear and timeless signature patterns that intertwine with the brand's graphic profile can lift both the brand and the product visually. She explains that she is driven by the creative process when she creates patterns, from idea to finished result.

And what inspires you?

I find my inspiration in everything from architecture, people and art. I see patterns in most things and can find inspiration in everything from the structure of a wall or the color shifts in nature. I also get inspired by other entrepreneurs and brands. When I read about Maria Seraki and MWH of Sweden in Norrköping's local newspaper, I knew that I wanted to collaborate with her. MWH of Sweden inspired me with the sustainability of the collection, the timeless design and the innovation with comfy and stylish suits that you can move freely in.
